Bright B12 - Cyanocobalamin
Simple. Reliable. Effective.
This classic B12 that you would get at your doctor's office. It is great for general support — helping boost energy, mood, and red blood cell production. It’s the most studied and widely used form of B12, perfect for those who want a straightforward pick-me-up.
Best for: B12 maintenance, budget-friendly energy boost, general wellness
Steady B12 – Hydroxocobalamin
Longer-lasting and gentle.
Hydroxocobalamin stays in your system longer and converts gradually to active forms, making it perfect for people needing sustained energy, nervous system support, or detox assistance. It’s a favorite for adrenal recovery and post-illness fatigue.
Best for: Long-term fatigue, stress recovery, gradual, steady B12 support
Vital B12 – Methylcobalamin
For brain, mood, and clarity.
Methyl B12 is the active form your body uses right away — supporting nervous system function, detox pathways, and mental clarity. Ideal for those with B12 metabolism concerns or anyone seeking sharper focus and longer-lasting energy.
Best for: Brain fog, mood support, B12 metabolism concerns
Glutathione -
For cellular support, antioxidant protection, and recovery.
Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant naturally made in your body. It helps protect your cells from daily stress, supports healthy aging, and assists in clearing byproducts of normal metabolism. This treatment may help your body feel more balanced and resilient. What is Glutathione? Glutathione is not a vitamin or a single amino acid — it's a small protein (called a tripeptide) made from three amino acids: glutamine, cysteine, and glycine. Your body naturally produces it to help protect cells, support the immune system, and clear out byproducts of normal metabolism.
Best for individuals who:
Are experiencing fatigue or stress-related symptoms
Are recovering from illness or inflammation
Want to support liver health or detoxification pathways
Are interested in optimizing antioxidant levels
Are focused on healthy aging and cellular health
Are pursuing skin clarity and radiance as part of a broader wellness plan
*This is given as an IV push — a small IV will be placed for safe administration.Biotin
For Hair, Skin, Nails, and Metabolic Support
Biotin (Vitamin B7) helps your body convert nutrients into energy and supports the health of your hair, skin, nails, and nervous system.Best For: Individuals with conditions that can impact nutrient absorption, such as IBS, Crohn’s disease, or after certain gastrointestinal surgeries. IV delivery bypasses the digestive system, allowing for efficient, direct absorption.
Important Note:
High-dose biotin can interfere with common blood tests, including:- Thyroid labs (TSH, free T4, etc.)
- Cardiac markers (like troponin)
- Hormone and vitamin panels
To avoid misleading lab results, biotin should be stopped for at least 48 hours before any blood work.
*This is given as an IV push — a small IV will be placed for safe administration.

Why would I want an IV if I already take supplements by mouth?
IV therapy delivers vitamins and nutrients directly into your bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system. This allows for close to 100% absorption. In contrast, most oral supplements are absorbed at an average rate of only 10–30%, depending on the nutrient and your digestive health.
This can make IV therapy especially helpful during times of stress, illness recovery, travel, or when your body needs faster or more reliable support.
When should I consider getting an IV?
IV therapy is ideal when you’re feeling rundown, dehydrated, recovering from a busy week or travel, supporting your immune system, or preparing for a physically or mentally demanding event. All IVs offered at Hudson Valley IV are elective and intended to support wellness — not to diagnose or treat medical conditions.
Is the fluid you use the same as what’s used in hospitals?
Yes. We use medical-grade sterile IV fluids such as 0.9% sodium chloride (normal saline) or lactated ringer’s — the same solutions used in hospitals for hydration and electrolyte support.
Are IV's FDA approved?
The individual vitamins and minerals used in our IVs — such as B vitamins, vitamin C, and magnesium — are all FDA-approved for human use and sourced from FDA-registered pharmacies. However, combining them into one IV formulation is considered off-label use.
This is very common in medicine — doctors regularly use medications off-label when supported by evidence and clinical experience. At Hudson Valley IV, all formulations are personally reviewed by Dr. Geeta Arora, a dual board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Integrative Medicine. She also collaborates closely with expert compounding pharmacists to ensure safety and quality in every infusion.
Examples of common off-label medication use include:
- Zofran (ondansetron) for nausea during pregnancy
- Trazodone for insomnia
- Gabapentin for anxiety or chronic pain
- Propranolol for migraines or public speaking anxiety
- Metformin for PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome)
Off-label use simply means the medication is being used in a way not explicitly listed on its FDA label — and this is often guided by peer-reviewed research and decades of physician experience.
How do I know which IV is right for me?
You don’t have to figure it out alone.
Our team will help guide you in choosing an IV based on how you’re feeling, your personal wellness goals—like energy, recovery, hydration, or immune support—and any relevant health considerations you share.
We offer a curated menu of elective IVs and can also customize infusions for individuals, small groups, or specific wellness themes with at least one week’s notice.
All services are elective and provided under the supervision of a licensed physician.
Are there any medical conditions that would prevent me from getting an IV?
Yes. Conditions like advanced kidney disease, heart failure, or certain electrolyte imbalances may make IV therapy unsafe. That’s why every client completes a health intake reviewed by Dr. Arora. Safety is our top priority, and we’ll always let you know if IV therapy isn’t appropriate for you.
Can I get an IV if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
We take pregnancy and postpartum safety very seriously. While some IVs or vitamin injections may be appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, others are not — and it depends on your individual health status, stage of pregnancy or postpartum, and medical history.
Certain ingredients, such as high-dose vitamin A, glutathione, or herbal-based compounds, are typically avoided in pregnancy unless there is a specific medical indication. During breastfeeding, many vitamins and hydration formulas are safe, but dosages and combinations still require careful review.
That’s why Dr. Geeta Arora, personally reviews each case. If you are pregnant or nursing, please reach out before booking. Dr. Arora is happy to coordinate with your OB-GYN or midwife to ensure any IV therapy is both appropriate and aligned with your overall care plan.
Your safety — and your baby’s — is our top priority. We offer gentle, supportive options when clinically appropriate, always with full transparency and medical oversight.
How often can I get vitamin injections or IVs?
The appropriate frequency of IV therapy or vitamin injections depends on your individual health status, wellness goals, and the specific nutrients being administered. Some clients benefit from weekly or biweekly visits for ongoing support, while others schedule sessions occasionally based on how they’re feeling.
At Hudson Valley IV, all treatments are elective and reviewed by our physician and founder, Dr. Arora. We’ll work with you to determine a safe and appropriate schedule based on your intake, response to therapy, and any relevant health conditions. You’re also welcome to reach out for guidance as your needs evolve over time.
Do you provide high dose vitamin C for patient's receiving chemotherapy?
We understand that some patients undergoing cancer treatment seek high-dose vitamin C as part of their integrative care. Dr. Geeta Arora, our founder and a dual board-certified physician, is happy to collaborate directly with your integrative oncologist or oncology team to explore whether this is appropriate for you.
Administering high-dose vitamin C during or after chemotherapy requires thoughtful coordination to ensure timing, dosing, and interactions are managed safely. This would involve a more in-depth consultation and clinical review to tailor care to your specific diagnosis and treatment plan.
We source high-quality sodium ascorbate that is third-party tested for purity and potency. If you’re considering this therapy, please contact us directly — we’re here to help support your healing journey with the care and coordination you deserve.
Can Medications deplete vitamins and minerals?
Yes. Many commonly prescribed medications can interfere with the body's ability to absorb, utilize, or retain certain vitamins and minerals. This doesn’t mean you should stop taking your medications — but it’s important to be aware of possible nutrient depletions, especially if you’re feeling fatigued, run down, or are under long-term stress. Below is a general guide to some medications and nutrients that may be affected:
Medication / Class Examples May Deplete

Can GLP-1 medications like Ozempic or Wegovy affect my nutrient levels?
GLP-1 receptor agonists (such as semaglutide and zepbound) are medications commonly prescribed for weight management and type 2 diabetes. By slowing digestion and reducing appetite, they may lead to lower food intake — which over time can impact your nutritional status. Some individuals may experience reduced levels of key nutrients such as:
Vitamin B12
Thiamine (Vitamin B1)
Magnesium
Vitamin D
Electrolytes and protein (if food intake is consistently low)
This is particularly important for individuals who experience chronic nausea, vomiting, or a significantly reduced appetite, which can limit nutrient intake and absorption.
At Hudson Valley IV, our services are designed to support general wellness and hydration. We do not treat or diagnose medical conditions. If you are taking GLP-1 medications and have concerns about your nutrient levels, we recommend speaking with your primary care provider or registered dietitian for personalized medical guidance.
